'Mr. P.' has a mission for his musicians

Under the dedicated direction of Viktoras Prizgintas, the Allegro Orchestra, which is made up of three levels of student musicians, was joined by members of the Orchestra of St. Luke's in a performance of baroque and modern string music. The concert Friday night at Central Valley Elementary School featured guest violinists Krista Benion Feeney and Anca Nicolau, violist Ronald Lawrance, cellist Myron Lutzke and bassist John Feeney.

All 'Orange', All Entertaining

West Point "Orange @ Eisenhower Hall" was a gala celebration Saturday night honoring community creative visual and performing arts. Walls were lined with artworks from various groups and alliances, and the big Eisenhower stage hosted some 230 musicians, singers, actors and dancers. Allegro x 4 = Impressive Program

Some 80 strong, the Allegro Orchestra, directed by Viktoras Prizgintas, actually combines four groups of students from the second to 12th grades. Allegro director thinks big and pushes hard

INTERVIEW: Viktoras Prizgintas talks about the Allegro Chamber Orchestra, which he founded and conducts and which has grown from nine members to more than a hundred young dedicated musicians.
